CALL TO ORDER ESTABLISH A QUORUM PROOF OF NOTICE APPROVAL OF MINUTES PRESIDENT’S REPORT TREASURER’S REPORT Bob indicated that delinquent fees under $150 did not accrue late fees and he felt there was no reason to change that policy. MANAGER’S REPORT Linda suggested that letters be sent to homeowners with maintenance problems if the Board did not question the violation within seven (7) days. The Board discussed the contents of the letters and agreed that the letters needed to be toned down and corrections be made to the grammatical errors in the letters. Leann made a motion to have the violation letters revised. Bob seconded the motion. The vote was unanimous for approval. Linda provided a list of violations dated July 9, 2005, for half of GV and indicated that she would complete the list after completing her walk-thru the following week.
Bob indicated that a building permit is required to construct a shed on the slab in the Recreation Area. Getting the permit will be a problem because the slab is on common ground. Bob will pursue getting approval to construct the building from the Zoning Commission. In the meantime, Bob suggested that a small storage space be rented or request that Don Tracey, Associated Landscape Company, store the pump parts temporarily. Bob will contact Fast Signs and request a copy of the contract they use with other companies. We will incorporate the verbiage that is used in Fast Signs contract in a request for bid for the signs. Pat will provide the specifications and attachments and Bob will contact sign vendors. NEW BUSINESS: Four bids were received to cut, haul off, and grind the stumps for four pine trees along the Esplanade. Leann made a motion to remove the trees. Bob seconded the motion. The vote was unanimous for approval for Carol King to remove the trees. Bob summarized the issue with the common driveway along side 8208 Rolla and serving 8214 and 8216 Rolla. Linda is to check Vista Management’s files for the legal opinion in regard to the responsibility for any repairs to common driveways. COMMITTEE REPORTS ARC Committee Leann made a motion to remove Ray Kaufmann from the ARC Committee. Bob seconded the motion. The vote was unanimous for approval. Leann advised that ARC Committee approval is based on whether or not
the work requested is in harmony with the GV neighborhood, and if the
work violates the covenants. The ARC Beautification Committee Edna Stanley indicated that the Yard of the Month was selected for July. Welcoming Committee Edna mentioned that there are four new homeowners that she needs to
contact. Pat will properly dispense of the flags that were displayed at the entrances for July 4th. There being no further business, Pat made a motion to adjourn the meeting.
Bob seconded the motion. The vote was unanimous for approval and the
meeting was adjourned at 8:18. p.m. |
