GRANADA VILLAS HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION
BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING
June 12, 2006
Granada Villa’s Recreation Area

CALL TO ORDER
Bob Boshears acted as Chairman of the meeting and called the meeting to order at 7:00. Pat Angel acted as secretary of the meeting and kept the minutes thereof.

ESTABLISH A QUORUM
Present were Bob Boshears (President), Lois Gilbert (Treasurer), Leann Warfield (Director) and Pat Angel ( Secretary). A quorum was established.

PROOF OF NOTICE
Notice of the meeting was posted on the web site and a sign was placed at the entryway

APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Lois Gilbert made a motion to approve the minutes of the May, 2006 Board meeting as presented. Pat Angel seconded the motion. Leann Warfield approved the minutes as well. Bob Boshears was not present at the May Board Meeting and abstained from voting.

MANAGER’S REPORT
Linda Bryce had a walk –thru the development with the landscaper and reported that all the dead trees have been removed. Carol King’s Landscaping is now thinning out the trees and trimming the broken limbs in preparation for the storm season. Linda will request a schedule for the remaining work.

The monthly HOA meeting will not be at the Dr. Phillip’s Library in July. The location is to be determined.

OLD BUSINESS
The entrance sign will require re-engineering before it can be installed in order to meet County code. Linda has re-requested bids for the cement work on the dock. The Board will hold on recoating the remainder of the driveway.

NEW BUSINESS:

Carol King will complete trimming of all trees and bushes except those in walled areas. All dead trees and bushes will be removed including stump grinding and removal of the mulch.

Lois made a motion to accept Ray Highan’s bid to paint and repair the remaining signs posted in the neighborhood provided the bid does not exceed $500.00. Leann seconded the bid. The vote was unanimous for approval.

Linda will request bids to clean out and install rebar on the draining pipes in the retention ponds.

Lois arranged with board approval for Security to patrol two (2) days in May and one (1) day in June. Six (6) tickets were issued, one for a non-GV resident speeding at 42mph.


COMMITTEE REPORTS

The ARC Committee needs nominees. There will be an election of interested homeowners.

ARC forms can be dropped at Leann’s house.

Yard of the Month

Edna reported that Yard of the Month was awarded to Mary Ellen and Milton Clegg.

There being no further business, Lois made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Leann seconded the motion. The vote was unanimous for approval and the meeting was adjourned at 7:50 p.m.

The ARC Committee met following the meeting.
