GRANADA VILLAS HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION
BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING
October 9, 2007
Southwest Library, Dr. Phillips
CALL TO ORDER
Bob Boshears acted as Chairman of the meeting and called the meeting
to order at 7:00 p.m. Lois Gilbert acted as secretary of the meeting
and kept the minutes thereof.
ESTABLISH A QUORUM
Present were Bob Boshears (President), Pat Angel (Vice President), Leann
Warfield (Director), and Lois Gilbert (Secretary and Treasurer). A
quorum was established.
PROOF OF NOTICE
Notice of the meeting was posted on the web site and a sign was placed
at each entrance.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Pat Angel made a motion to approve the minutes for the September 2007
GV HOA Board Meeting as amended. Lois seconded the motion. Leann abstained.
The vote passed.
TREASURER’S REPORT
This was not reviewed because of time constraints.
OLD BUSINESS
1. Dual Irrigation: A letter was drafted by Lois and distributed to each
Board member. This was placed on hold until next month because of time
constraints.
2. Discussion of Tennis Court repair. After reviewing 4 quotes and discussion,
Lois made a motion to have Varsity do the work in January. Pat seconded.
All in favor.
3. Electrical Power for Irrigation Valve on Esplanade Court: This was
put on hold until next month. Lois was asked to check with our attorneys
regarding liability on this issue.
NEW BUSINESS:
1. Discussion of 2008 Budget: After much discussion, Bob made a motion
to reduce the proposed 2008 budget to $390.00 per homeowner per quarter.
Pat seconded. Bob Boshears, Leann Warfield, and Pat Angel approved. Lois
Gilbert objected. The vote passed.
COMMITTEE REPORTS
There was no time for Committee reports.
ADJOURNMENT
Pat Angel made the motion to adjourn the meeting at 8:45. Leann seconded
the motion. All were in favor.
